Stefanie Hourani was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Growing up, Dr. Stefanie stayed busy playing competitive soccer on school and club teams. She received a scholarship to attend the University of Kansas…. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! It was there that she met her future husband, Christian in freshman Biology lab. She graduated from University of Kansas with a BA in Microbiology.

Prior to dental school, Dr. Stefanie gained valuable experience working as a dental assistant. Dr. Stefanie received her DDS from University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry.

After getting married, Stefanie moved to Phoenix with her husband and puppy, Oscar. In the years after graduating, Dr. Stefanie worked in both private practice general dentistry and non-profit pediatric dental offices.

Her experience at Murphy Kid’s Dental Clinic, a non-profit clinic serving the Murphy school district, solidified her desire to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Stefanie completed her two-year Pediatric Dental Residency Program with NYU Lutheran Medical Center right here in Phoenix. Stefanie has also found her passion for working with special needs patients.

Dr. Stefanie enjoys staying active in her community. While living in Kansas City, she participated in various programs such as Shadow Buddies and Shepherd’s Center. She has been involved in the Junior League of Phoenix and worked on many of their early-childhood education programs.

Outside of dentistry, Stefanie enjoys helping a good cause. She served on Junior League of Phoenix and participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk with her mother, raising money for breast cancer research. In her free time, Stefanie enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
